Cons
This is a little pricey, depending on your budget. It’s much cheaper than a lot of other mascaras.

Nothing “wow-d” me about it.

Pros
It lasts all day.
This mascara has a nice, sleek tube.

The mascara gives a very natural look. It applies well without clumping, and it looks elegant.

It’s easy to take off with makeup remover.

I give this 4/5 stars.

Etude House: Oh~ m’Eye Lash Curling & Clean

26 Jan

Average retail online: $8
Store retail: ₩4,000 ($3.80)

Etude lash edit

In need of new mascara, I spontaneously decided to try this. It was on sale at the store for ₩2,800 ($2.60) and thought it was a great deal. Overall, I’m glad I didn’t spend more.

Pros
You can’t beat the price–around $4 for a mascara is cheap. This mascara is good enough to get me by without spending a lot.

The wand is a nice shape. It lets me comb through my lashes nicely. It has a small angled flip on the end, letting me curl my lashes slightly.

Cons
It smells like plastic. The smell oddly reminds me of my clarinet’s smell (when I played about 10 years ago). However, I’ve never not liked a mascara because of the smell. I figure some people want to know the scent.

My number one problem is how long it takes to dry. I noticed that it will leave marks on my lids after I apply it–some 15 seconds later. I hate this. I hate constantly rubbing my eyes and trying to fix my makeup. I also hate needing to clean mascara streaks off my glasses!

I don’t really care for this mascara much. I think the price suits  the quality. I won’t be buying it again, but I would like to try some other Etude House mascaras. Do you know any that work well? Comment below! Thanks ^_^

Can you tell which side has Etude House’s Oh~m’ Eye Lash Curling & Clean on? That’s right–it’s on the left side of the picture. The eye on the right side has no makeup on.

Etude lash 4 edit

I give this two and one half out of five stars.

D.J.V. Beautenizer, Fiberwig LX

20 Nov

Store retail: $22

I bought his mascara at Sephora. It caught my eye because it said,

“This glossy, black formula contains double the fibers to lengthen lashes. As the formula goes on smoothly without clumping, it gives the appearance of naturally longer lashes and forms a film coating that prevents smudging caused by oils and perspiration.”

I actually bought this mascara a few months ago (and am just now writing the review). Just know that the photos reflect this.

Cons

This is a great mascara, but I tend to like eyelashes that look a bit more dramatic.

Before D.J.C. Beautenizer, Fiber Wig LX mascara.

After application of D.J.C. Beautenizer, Fiber Wig LX mascara. Note: This is after using product for a few months.

Pros

For those of you who like natural-looking lashes, this is a perfect mascara. The fibers in the mascara extend your lashes without looking thick or caked on. In fact, when I first used this mascara, my lashes were so long that they rubbed against my glasses!  The formula is not thick, which helps it appear natural. Also, don’t worry if mascara gets on your eyelid during application, just let it dry and then you can rub it off with a Q-Tip.

I give this four out of five stars.
